Somerby - Leicestershire

This has been an incredibly exciting project to be part of alongside Emma and Hamish. With internal and external renovations taking place simultaneously - including heat pump groundworks, underground rainwater storage tanks and a hot tub installation, the entire space has been completely transformed from its original state. The design process required careful consideration of several key factors. These included managing the multiple ground levels from the back door to the bottom of the garden, creating a large driveway capable of accommodating multiple vehicles, while still allowing access to the garage and space turn around due to a narrow entrance. It was important to ensure that planting and trees would enhance the space without obstructing views from the house. Additional features were thoughtfully integrated into the design, including a discreetly positioned hot tub that remains out of sight from the house, seating areas at various levels throughout the garden, a water feature to attract wildlife and a dedicated space for dining and entertaining.

We worked in partnership with ‘C A Groundworks and Landscaping’ to bring this vision to life. Chris has overseen the project from the very first meeting and continues to manage the finer details behind the scenes, ensuring everything is completed to the highest standard ahead of handover.

We’ll be retuning in the coming weeks to complete the planting, just in time for summer gatherings. Visiting again later in the season to see the garden in full bloom will be a particularly exciting moment - watch this space for up to date photos!
